abrus precatorius

I collected several of these red and black beans near some hot springs in El Remate, Guatemala during my three month trip to southern Mexico. After some research I found these beautiful beans are used in musical instruments in South America. They are also poisonous if eaten - hence their bright color. So what better way to use them than making jewelry?

    Not only if eaten, unfortunately...
By time they could release dangerous powder, that with inhalation could be poison you...
